I know what it’s like. You see a friend or someone on TV with an awesome tattoo and you get inspired. You either want what they have or it sets your creative mind into overdrive and you start doodling and figuring out what your perfect tattoo will look like. Isn’t that stage of a tattoo exciting?

Well, sure. I’ve got the mementos of these exciting doodles all over my body. Some I still adore; others, I’m not so sure about (like the ‘bug’ tattoo on my left ankle when everyone was raving about how all our computers were going to crash for the millennium).

A few months ago, I decided that I wanted to have another tattoo. I hadn’t had a new one for, well, about a year and I felt ready for something new.

Now, I’m a tattoo enthusiast. Most of my friends have tattoos, so it’s obviously something I’m passionate about and talk to them about. A lot. If someone checks out my tattoos at the grocery store, I’ll try and chat to them about what my tattoos mean and the whole process of choosing a tattoo. Sometimes they’re interested, sometimes they’re not. I don’t care! I love just tattoos!

So, given that I love tattoos, I’m always checking out my local tattoo parlors for the latest designs and the up-and-coming artists. Believe me, there are some seriously talented guys and gals out there ready to make your skin a walking work of art.

When I was thinking about the design of my latest tattoo, I chatted to my friends and to my local tattoo artists and asked for their opinions. I already had in mind the sort of tattoo I was going to have (a gothic butterfly tattoo), but wasn’t too sure about the specifics.

Bill, one of my favorite tattoo artists, suggested that I check out an online tattoo database called Chopper Tattoos. He even said it was where he’d got some of his favorite designs! I was sold!

I checked out the site and was over the moon. It was organized so well and I was able to narrow down my selection and find my perfect tattoo in no time at all. It had a HUGE selection of designs of lower back tattoos to choose from! It saved me so much time and effort in looking online and visiting other tattoo parlors. And it’s something I know I’m going to not regret. Hey, if Bill likes it, it’s good enough for me (and I have very high standards!).

Why don’t you check out the site by clicking here to see for yourself? You’ll see what I mean.

Until next time,

Alex
